Hare Brooch

Adapted from a children’s book which was once a childhood favourite of mine, this playful folkloric art brooch depicts a gracefully leaping beautiful silver hare with hand pierced detail. The body of the piece exhibits subtle contrasting areas of satin relief, texture and high polish, complete with a strong base metal pin and protected revolver style catch on reverse. This brooch now not handiest illustrates a story from my childhood, but it’s also a symbol of fertility, sensuality and strength. The hare signifies the goddess within, making the wearer feel amazingly cherished, seductive, wild and free. It comprises a certified hallmark from the Birmingham Assay Place of work England and is moral in its materials and production, including the branded eco packaging. There may be the strategy to personlise this piece with initials, a name or date.
